1. RoloPress Import: probably our most requested feature.  You can now import any Outlook CSV file into RoloPress.  We choose Outlook CSV because most contact managers allow you to export in this format.
2. Google Maps for RoloPress: View a google map of any address in RoloPress. You can see an example on demo.rolopress.com.

INSTALLATION

IMPORTANT: To install RoloPress 1.5 it is recommended you delete both RoloPress Core and Default themes from your wp-content/themes directory and upload the new versions.  Download the new themes, unzip them locally and then FTP them to your website. Once installed, you should switch from the RoloPress Default theme to any other theme (not RoloPress Core), and then back to RoloPress Default.  Many of the new features only initiate when the theme is activated.

1. Members Only Plugins: WordPress has a lot of members only plugins.  Essentially they can make your site only accessible to people that have a user account.  Here are a few you may want to look at:
   1. Members

2. Password Protect Your Installation: If you have access to cPanel (ask your host), then password protecting your RoloPress folder is probably the best way keep it private.  Log into cPanel, and under the “Security” area choose “Password Protect Directories”.  Make sure you only choose your RoloPress directory, otherwise you might inadvertently make all your sites private.

ENHANCEMENTS

• Default Menu is now automatically generated by the new WordPress drag-n-drop menu system introduced in WP 3.0.
• Two default posts are created automatically: a Contact and a Company.
• Admin menu to hide contact and companies links has been removed (since this can easily be done with the new menu system)
• Automatically remove “Hello world!” post, since it really doesn’t make sense for a RoloPress install.

• RoloSearch: nows works with ALL fields.
• Avatars: Added caching when using the image from Twitter.

Suggest that you download both the updated CORE and DEFAULT themes.  No need to delete your current directories… overwriting is fine.

• Twitter Profile Images: Previously RoloPress automatically added profile images for your contacts by looking up their Gravatar if you have an email address associated with that contact.  This worked well for some Contacts, but not for Companies.   So now, if your Contact doesn’t have a Gravatar, RoloPress will automatically check Twitter and pull in their Twitter profile image.  Of course, you need to list the Twitter id in the Contacts info.  What makes this even more exciting, is that many Companies have Twitter profile images, which will now be displayed in RoloPress.
• vCard Export: Click on the “card” icon in the Contact Details area to download a vCard for that individual Contact or Company.
• Sort Contacts and Companies: We’ve added some new options to the backend of RoloPress, and you can now sort your Contact and Company archive pages by a variety of fields.
• Layout Options: Changing your RoloPress layout is easier than ever.  Just head on over to “Appearance > Layout” and choose from the thirteen different layout options.  Yes… thirteen!  RoloPress supports two different size sidebars so you can display your content any way you want.  The most common use of this, is to display Contact and Company information in the Wide sidebar. Feel free to play around.
• Menu Options: Hide or display items in the default RoloPress menu.
• Print Options and CSS: Added a print.css file and options to hide/print four widget areas.  To override the default print.css in your child theme, just place your own print.css file in the child theme directory.
• Theme Files: Total rewrite, to make them cleaner and faster.

To upgrade: We’ve made significant changes to the folder structure of Core.  So you must delete your current rolopress-core and rolopress-default folders, and upload the newest versions of RoloPress Core and Default.  Do not overwrite them.
